Spring at the Lafayette Club is hard to beat—soft light on Lake Minnetonka, fresh greens returning to the shoreline, and an elegance that feels both classic and welcoming. Hannah and Pat’s wedding embraced that feeling completely. As the florist for their day, we designed a refined, traditional floral story rooted in white blooms with a gentle wash of blues and light purples—timeless, elegant, and unmistakably elevated.

Luxury Wedding Flowers at the Lafayette Club

The Lafayette Club is one of Minnesota’s most iconic wedding venues, especially for couples planning a high-end celebration on Lake Minnetonka. The architecture, the lake views, and the flow of the space lend themselves beautifully to statement florals that feel intentional rather than overdone.

For Hannah and Pat, our approach was classic luxury with thoughtful moments of surprise. The palette stayed clean and cohesive, allowing texture and scale to do the heavy lifting. White flowers set the foundation, while hints of soft blue and pale lavender (Pat’s favorite color) added depth without distracting from the venue’s natural elegance.

The most impactful floral moments were the large installations on the balcony and main entrance to the ballroom. These designs were meant to welcome guests and immediately set the tone for the evening—formal, romantic, and beautifully composed. At the ballroom entrance, florals softened the architecture and guided guests into the celebration, signaling that this would be a thoughtfully designed, elevated experience.

If there was one element that I had to choose as a favorite, it would the cake meadow. Low, lush florals surrounded the cake as if it were resting in a spring garden—organic, romantic, and quietly special. Cake meadows are one of our favorite ways to bring a sense of artistry to the reception without overwhelming the space. This one felt especially fitting at the Lafayette Club, echoing the lakeside setting while maintaining a refined, luxury aesthetic.
